So yesterday was my 32nd birthday, yes I am into my 30s and feeling it. The day part I did not do much and just relaxed. I really didn't feel like going anywhere with all 3 kids. Nathan came home early from work which surprised me, that was nice. Jack and Jackie came over and watched the kids so we could go out to dinner, we even got to leave Brig. We had a nice dinner and then came back to my house and my parents and Brady (our brother-in-law) and Emily were here. My friend Lisa made my beautiful cake ( thanks Lisa). She is incredible, my kids said she should open her own cake shop and I agree! We had cake and opened presents. It was a nice relaxing day.

Birthday Fun!

Okay can I just whine a bit about how much I hate the stomach bug. Friday night Emma threw up then Jack threw up then I woke up and was doing the same. The kids were over it by sat afternoon, but me I have not such luck. I don't know if it has to do with my gallbladder being out or what but these things kill me. I am still trying to recover fully. I wanted to lose 5 pounds of my brigham weight and I just lost 4 in a day, this really wasn't how I wanted to do it. Nathan and Brenna haven't got sick yet, I am keeping my fingers crossed. Last time we got sick the didn't get it either. How does that happen and why am I never the one to be spared! Not that I want everyone else to get sick but it would be nice if I could have a break from it once and a while. Okay I will stop now. We are all doing better thankfully it wasn't this coming weekend or that would be a lousy b-day.

Our little ladybug!

Emma had her school play last night. She was a ladybug. She did so well, remembered all of her lines and was as cute as could be. I am glad the younger kids went first so we did not have to sit through 2 plays. Thankfully Emma's was pretty short. I think she will be our little actress. It was fun to watch her perform and enjoy it.

Camping!

Well Nathan finally took the 3 older kids camping this past weekend. He told Jack he could go now since he was potty trained. The had a good time other than Jack running around with hot dog scewers and jabbing brenna with them. I told Nathan that probably wasn't a good idea to let him play with those. They all shared a tent and Jack came out of his sleeping bag a couple of times, so Nathan had to try to slide him back in while he was asleep. Not an easy task he is a big boy. I stayed at my parents with Brig and rented a movie, kind of depressing. It was In the land of Women, I though it would be a romantic comedy, not so. Anyway here are some pictures of the kids camping. They were sure filthy when they came home.

This was a cake a friend made for Brenna's birthday. I absolutely loved it. I told Nathan he had to have a party for me so she could make me a cake. The cake part was just as good as the frosting wich made it even better.

Okay so yesterday we went to Tucson with my parents and I brought Jack's little potty in the back of the van (just in case.) Well he did fine and then on the way home Brenna said she needed to go numero dos. I said can't you wait and she said no. So off she goes in the back on the little potty. Well needless to say that it did not smell very good in the van, so my dad pulled off to the side and I tried to wipe out the potty, well it was windy and the wipes went flying and here I am chasing them so I would not get a ticket for littering poopy wipes. It was quite an experience, and the one I brought the potty for acually made it to a gas station and went there. Why couldn't the other one have done that. Oh I love being a mom!

I feel old!

Okay maybe I am the only one that will admit to liking New Kids On The Block when I was in Junior high. Anyway they are reuniting and will be on the Today Show tomorrow morning. I was watching a interview with them and okay here it goes, they still look good, acually better than I remember. So all of you embarrassed to admit you liked them, just record it and watch it in secret and be proud you were a Nktob fan! I know for a fact some of you out there did love them and our rooms were filled with there posters and we had buttons and t-shirts and I was going to marry Donnie Walhberg. Nathan said if they came in concert he would not go, what a shocker, it would be a bunch of 30 something women screeming at the top of there lungs, pretty funny if you think about it. Well hope everyone is having a good day and that news cheered someone up. love to all, Linda
