So here is a rundown since I last posted.

July-Had a surprise party for my mom in phx, all of the kids and grandkids came.

Aug- Kids started school.

Sep- Brenna and Jack started soccer. Brenna did well consider it was her first year. Jack made alot of progress from the previous year.

Oct.- Fall break went to a condo in pinetop. Fished, hiked and ate yummy pizza and got marble slab creamery. Nate and I celebrated our 13th anniversary! Went to Apple Annie's with Brig's preschool class.

Nov- Made my first Thanksgiving dinner, it turned out pretty well, but next year going home to phx, nothin better than my mom's thanksgiving dinner.

Dec- Went to phx for Christmas, had wonderful food and loved being with family. Saw Nate's younger brother and his family get sealed in the Gila Valley Temple, it was amazing.

Happy new year, hopefully I can keep up with 2012.

Emma turned 11 on July 28th, she is growing up so fast and is such a determined talented girl, we love her so much!. She wanted coffee cake for breakfast and then Nate took Emma and her best friend to panda express and yogurt. She relaxed in the afternoon and for dinner we had chicken and dumplings. Jack and Jackie, Jordan and Emily and some friends came over for cake. Lisa Hatch made an amazing Hippo playing a piano cake. She got lots of fun stuff and concert tickets from us. She was excited!

It the begining of June we went with my parents across country to meet some distant cousins. We drove in their big van which the kids call Big Bertha. We went to Braum's Ice Cream a lot, it was so yummy. Went to Graceland and toured Elvis' mansion then headed to meet the cousins. We toured Shiloh battlefield and saw the spots where the battle took place. It was neat to finally meet our cousins, I was the only one who hadn't met them and my dad wanted to take me. My brother Steven and his kids drove also, it was nice to have them along.We went to Abe's grill the last morning for breakfast and had the best bisquits ever. We toured Braum's factory Plant on the way home and got free ice cream, wish we had it out here, it was delish. The kids did great on the trip other than the last 2 days on the way home we were ready to get out of the car. I appreciate my dad for wanting me to know where our heritage comes from and enjoyed the trip and spending time with family.

We had a wonderful Easter. The kids wore their new Easter clothes to church and they all looked so cute. We had Emily and Jordan over for dinner. I cooked my first ham with scalloped potatoes, rolls, salad, corn and martinelles. It was a lovely day and evening!

It has been a while since I updated. Here is what has been going on lately in our lives.

Emma joined drama, it fits her,she won a cowboy poetry award and was able to recite her poem at the Cowboy poetry gathering, she did great. Brenna is enjoying reading her new level books, riding her bike around the neighborhood and enjoying activity days for church. Jack started T-ball and enjoys it alot more than soccer, he just wasn't aggresive enough in soccer. We are busy as usual and I can't believe the kids have only about a month of school left. This year has flown by. Thankfully the kids school won't be closing next year so we have another year that we don't have to worry about. We have lots of things coming up in the next few months that I will definately blog about.Will have to get pictures in the next post of Brenna and Brig. Until then!

Eight years ago today my sweet Brenna came to our family. She was born on a cold day in Missoula Montana, she is such a tenderhearted girl and also fiesty. We love our Brenna and couldn't imagine what life would be without her. I am so proud of the good girl she has become and is always willing to help me out. We love you Brenna Michelle.

So i need to catch up on blogging. It has been a while. We will start with Thanksgiving, we went up to phx to be with my family and had a wonderful time. I baked 4 pies and they were delish. My mom and I slaved away in the kitchen while the kids played and men watched the kids. We stayed up there 4 days and then came home. It was nice and relaxing, I love having Thanksgiving at my parents it always brings back such good memories, my moms rolls are the best. Then it was Christmas, we stayed here and had a nice Christmas, all the kids seemed to enjoy their gifts. We adopted a couple from our ward and the kids went over and sang Christmas songs to them and had treats. I think they really enjoyed it. We had our traditional Williams family mexican food feast on Christmas eve, I really love that tradition and then had Swedish meatballs for my family's tradition on Christmas night. We had a wonderful Christmas but missed Jack and Jackie who are serving a mission in Germany.I went up to Phx for a few days after Christmas and spent time at my parents and hung out with my brother and sister. The kids played with their cousins and we went to the train park in Scottsdale they really enjoyed it. We went to Culvers and 5 guys, we always have fun at mom and dads. Now on to Jan, Brig turned 3 and he is potty trained and doing well with it, my last one out of diapers. Brenna will be 8 on the 31st and will be baptized, I can't believe my little peanut is getting so old. Well that is all for now!

Jack's soccer game then a school carnival and then trunk or treating in the evening then a couples party. Busy day but lots of fun. My parents came on thursday and stayed until sat morning after Jacks game. It is always nice to have them here.

For those who haven't heard, Briggy broke his foot jumping off of play equipment at the mall. He went to the doctor, where we found it was broken right on top. He is currently laying on the couch drinking his sippy all day.

Camping!

So our family went camping last weekend at Parker canyon lake. It was my first time camping and I think I did pretty well. I was concerned about the bathroom facilities and I survived. We had hot dogs made smores, went walking by the lake, geocashed and had muffins and hot chocolate. Other than our noisy neighbors and brig moving around the tent all night it was a success. Maybe i'll do it again next year!

So it has been a while since I have posted. The begining of Sep Jack started playing soccer for the first time, he hasn't quite figured out how to get in there and score but he is sure cute running around the field, I think he will get it eventually. Jack also went to Apple Annie's on his 1st field trip in kindergarten, Nathan was able to go with him. My good friend Cassie and her son Jace came to see us in mid sep. We hadn't seen each other in 5 years. It was so good to see her and she is still the same wonderful funny friend I remember. I love when you see friends you haven't see in forever and you just go back to where you left off, like nothing has changed. Thanks Cassie for visiting us, we loved having you and Jace in our home.

Scottsdale!

We went to Scottsdale last weekend and stayed in a resort while my parents watched the kids. Thursday we dropped the kids off and headed over to Maggiono's for dinner. It was so good! Then we went to our hotel and changed and headed over to scottsdale fashion square (love that place.) After that we went back to our hotel and hit the pool, it was a little chilly but not too bad. The next morning we went to get bagels and then went to see Nathan's grandpa and grandma . After that we met up with one of his old mission companions and his wife for lunch at a little mexican cafe in mesa. Went ice skating after about 20 years of not doing it, I didn't fall but I was a little slow, Nathan did pretty good since he used to rollerblade. That evening we went back to our hotel and changed again and went to Marcellas kitchen for some Margerita pizza that was delish. Went and got sprinkles cupcakes and went shopping a little more then back to our hotel. Next morning had a nasty breakfast and then test drove cars. Then headed over to the parents to see the kids, had a fun get together with my brothers and sisters and there kids at my parents, swam and ate yummy food. It was a nice end to a relaxing weekend! Thanks mom and dad, we love you!

We had family and a few friends over for Emma's birthday.She wanted a blue velvet cake instead of red velvet. My parents came from phx and my aunt and Sarah and the girls, Emma sue and Ashley, Susie and Kellen and Emily and Jordan and Emma's friends Ashley and Brooke. It was a fun birthday, she got money cd's, jewlrey and hippo stuff, and some gift cards. It was a fun night with family and friends!

I can't believe my Emma is 10 today, it seems like yesterday I was in labor with her for 15 hours. She is such a smart, beautiful, girl. I am so thankful she was sent to me and for her energy and love she brings to our family. Happy birthday sweet girl!

We just got back a few days ago from our summer vacation. We went to my sister's in Wa across the sound from Seattle. After a couple of days we met up with all of my family for a family reunion, it had been 4 years since we were all together. We had such a great time and all the cousins got together. We had wonderful food, went kayaking, that scared me. Some of the family caught a few crabs and we ate them. The kids swam in the freezing water, but loved it. Then we headed back to my sister's and hung out there a couple of days and went to Seattle before we flew home. What a fun vacation it was, loved seeing all of the family, can't wait until the next one!

Jack graduated from preschool a couple weeks ago. They had a cute ceremony and some yummy food. The kids sang song's and talked about their favorite things. Holly has been such a wonderful teacher for Jack and he has learned so much. I can't believe he will start kindergarden in the fall. I love my Jack!

We went to phx, this past week and stayed with my parents for a few days. Nathan stayed home to work. We went to a waterpark on thurs and the kids had lots of fun, that evening we went to Culver's for custard, my fave. Then on friday we went to see Shrek forever, it was fun. Friday night we had a barbeque with my sister and her kids and my niece. We had a fun week of lots of swimming and good food. I even snuck in a little shopping and bought 2 pair of shoes. Thanks mom and dad for a fun week, we love you!

Jack and Jackie leave on a mission to Germany!

Nathan's dad and stepmom left on a mission to Germany about 3 weeks ago. We got together the night before and had dinner and said goodbye's. Brenna gets sad everytime we talk about it, we will miss them but they will have a wonderful time!

So we went to our friends house and she made personal pizza dough for everyone and we made our own pizza's . Then we made snow cones, and the kids swan in the little pool. It was a fun evening, thanks Georgeanne, Stan and Wesley! Emma was at a carnival with a friend, so that is why she is MIA.

We went to a friends house in Tucson last weekend and had wonderful food and lots of laughs. We don't get to see them very often. The kids had fun collecting fruit and throwing the old ones against their wall. It was a fun evening. Wish I had taken more picts of our friends, maybe next time!

We had a fun Easter, had Jana and Dave over in the morning for brunch and colored and hid eggs and then went to a picnic in the park with lots of friends in the afternoon.

Nathan's b-day was yesterday and we had his dad and Jackie, Emily and Jordan and the Bell's over for cake and ice cream. I think he had a good day, the kids all made him a big poster with Happy birthday on it and all of their hand prints and I made a chocolate peanut butter cake. My sweet Jack turned 5 today. My how fast time goes. He had his first friends party yesterday. They played pin the truck tires on the truck and red light green light and musical chairs. I think all the kids had a good time and no one got hurt, so that makes it great. He had a awsome monster truck cake and cupcakes to go along. Tonight grandpa and grandma Williams are coming over for crabby patties (hambugers) and hot fudge sundays!

Brenna's 7th birthday!

Brenna had such a fun birthday. Yesterday she went with her best friend Lexi to the movies and then Lexi came over to play. Later on that evening we had family over for cake and ice cream and presents. Today on her birthday she picked pop tarts for breakfast and she wanted her grandpa Johnson's greesy tacos and tostadas for dinner. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She has such a sweet spirit and is always concerned about others feelings. We love you Brenna.

Brigham turned 2 yesterday, I can't believe how fast the time goes. He is such a sweet boy but loves to get into everything. We made a cake yesterday and after dinner grandpa and grandma Williams, Emily and Jordan and Jana and Dave and their kiddos came over for cake. Brig finished the first piece and said more cake. Then we openend presents and he was so excited, . I think he had a good day, and it was nice for his siblings too, they have been playing with his toys.

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Had a Mexican food feast on Christmas eve. The kids acted out the Nativity, kind of. Christmas morning they woke up excited but thankfully not too early. Santa brought a Wii and the kids were all happy with their gifts. That evening we went to Nathan's dads for dinner and opened gifts there. We had such fun with family and giving out treats to friends this Christmas season. We love Christmas and the peace and joy it brings.

We had a fun Thanksgiving. Went up to my parents on Wed and cooked pies all night then woke up and cooked all day with my mom and sister. The dinner was yum and we had about 9 pies. I have eaten alot of pies in the last few days. Emma decided to jump in the pool, it was really cold, I told her she was crazy. The kids enjoyed playing with their cousins all weekend. We went to see the Temple lights Friday night, they were beautiful. It was so nice to spend time with family.

We went to Thatcher over the weekend for our niece Addison's 1st birthday. The kids had lots of fun playing at the park. Addison had a good time opening presents and having bites of cake. After the party we went to mexican food (yum). Then we headed home. It was nice to spend the day with family.

Nope not a baby, it is a new dog. Maybe 3 is a charm. We thought since all of the big dogs we have had jumped our fence, maybe we should try or should I say Nathan thinks we should try a little dog. So here we go! His name is Chopper and he is a boston bulldog terrier, he is a good dog and the kids even Brig get along with him. Hopefully he will like his new home!

It is our 11th anniversary today. I can't believe how fast the time goes. It seems just like yesterday we were at the Mesa Temple getting married. I am so thankful for Nathan he is such a wonderful husband, I don't know where I would be without him. We have had so much fun these past 11 years of being married , I can't wait to see what the next 11 bring. Thanks Nathan for being my best friend.

I know it is only the end of Sept but I am feeling so blessed right now. I have 4 amazing children who are healthy and happy. I have a wonderful husband who is righteous and provides for our family. I have wonderful parents and siblings who may not live close but are always there supporting and cheering us on. I have amazing aunts and uncle who are like second parents who are always showing love to us. I have talented, sweet nieces and nephews. I have wonderful inlaws and sister and brother in laws who are amazing also and I have wonderful friends who have been around since elementary school, high school and college and then the wonderful friends we have made while in Missoula and now sierra vista while we have been married. I am so thankful for all of these people who have inspired me and made me who I am today. I love you all!

We finally redecorated the girls room this weekend. We took their bunkbeds apart and painted their walls got new bedding also. They love it, hopefully they will keep it cleaner now. I think it looks nice. Nathan did such a good job painting moving everything. So glad he is around!

Emma had a good birthday, we decided to surprise her by getting her ears pierced. She was a trooper, no tears at all. Later some friends of hers came over and my parents and Jana and Dave and Nathan's sister Emily and Jordan and we had chocolate bundt cake with hot fudge and chocolate shavings. She opened her gifts and played with her friends for a while. It was a fun day!

Nine years ago after 17 hours of labor and 3 and a half hours of pushing Emma Pearl came into our family. She is such a joy in our family and has so many wonderful talents. We love her and are thankful to have her forever! Happy birthday Pearl girl!

San diego!

We went to San diego last week and had a fun time other than Brig screeching throughout the whole trip. The day we got there we drove up to the temple. I love the San diego temple, it is so beautiful. We walked around the grounds a little and then drove downtown to where our hotel was, we could check in yet so we walked down on the waterfront for a while. Jack loved seeing all the big boats. Finally we checked in and relaxed a bit, we decided to walk downtown to find dinner and found a yummy pizza place and wasn't crowded, which was nice with Brig screeching all the time! Then we went to ghiradelli (sp) chocolate shop, smelled so yummy when you walked in.

2nd day- Sea world, had a blast and got soaked at the dolphin show! Sunburned!

3rd day-Nathan went to his conf and we hung out at the pool, Nathan got back and we went down to the beach for the afternoon, went to a little taco shop downtown and then headed back to the hotel. Went to seaport village and ate dinner and shopped. Sunburned!

4th day- Nathan to his conf, took the kids to horton plaza, long walk up the hill, ate lunch went to mission beach with smelly seaweed allover the beach. Went to Seaport village again that night and had fish tacos (yum). Sunburned!

5th day-Went with Nathan over to Coronado island where is conf is and played on the beach there, it was beautiful. Left for home

We had a nice trip and the kids were great other than the screeching! Until next time!

4th of July weekend!

We went up to north phx last weekend to see my parents new home. They have a pool so the kids swam most of the time, except Brig he was only allowed to in the evenings. We relaxed and went to see Ice Age on Sat. then Sat night we had pizza and chocolate cake with my brother and his family and my parents while watching the fireworks from a distance. We were able to go to the temple friday morning, such a neat place. Had a nice weekend although when I got my camera out to take pictures the battery was dead, hence the pictureless post. We went to my sister-in-law Susie's house yesterday. Her dog Daisy a mastiff just had puppies they are so cute. They are still pretty small but the kids had fun holding them, Jack wasn't to sure at first. We told him to hold them under their bums and he said "where are their bums"? It was pretty funny. We had hamburgers and made smores. We thought it would be too windy but the weather was perfect, a little breezy and cloudy. It was a nice day to spend with family!

So we went to Tucson today and met up with a old friend who I haven't seen since before I was married. She has 5 kids and with my 4 we had quite the group. The kids ran around and had a good time. Brig thought the plastic pizza was real and kept trying to eat it (grossed me out all the germs). Then we had lunch on the picnic tables outside the museum, thankfully it was covered or we would have had a heat stroke. I am exhausted now and glad to be home!

So this afternoon I am peacefully watching tv and the kids are outside playing and then I hear screaming. I run out and Brenna is in the middle of the street laying face down, I run over to her and her mouth is covered in blood and she has scrapes all over her face. She fell off the scooter, thankfully no teeth got loose. She now has a fat lip and a scraped face, my poor little girl. She wanted to look in the mirror to see so I gave her a mirror and she just started crying, asking will it ever go away. I feel so bad for her, darn scooter!

Today the girls went to the cove then I went and helped out in Brenna's class. They had pizza and made ice cream with their 3rd grade buddies. Then they had a cd presentation of pictures throughout the year. At the end a moving on ceremony to 1st grade. I always get a little teary eyed at the end of kindergarden, they grow up too fast. It was a nice day and fun to be with Brenna.

Mother's Day!

I had a nice Mother's Day. Nathan made me french toast, and got me flowers. Emma gave me a cute folder with little notes, that which ever one I choose that day, she will do what is on it, Brenna made a potholder with her had print and Jack gave me a hug and kiss. We went to my parents for dinner and had yummy steak and corn on the cob and artichokes. Then for dessert we had a chocolate icecream cake from Cold Stone. So I probably gained 5lbs but it was worth it. I am so glad I am a mother, sometimes it is difficult but I wouldn't want it any other way. Thanks Nathan and kids and dad for a nice day. My parents are moving to north phx, so this was probably my last mothers day with my mom tear tear!

Birthday weekend!

So my birthday was Saturday. I am really starting to feel my age, birthdays don't seem to be as exciting as they used to be. Friday night we had a little family party and had yummy cheesecake. Nathan and the kids gave me a deep fryer and an ice cream maker. Yes I know odd gifts but I love food, I was excited. Sat morning we had donuts for breakfast at my parents and then the kids went and got two betta fish (lighting and thunder). Nathan's grandma had a 90th b-day party on Sat after so we went there most of the day. Sat evening Nathan and I went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and I was mortified when I had to sit on a saddle as they sang happy birthday, I will never forgive him for that one. It was a good dinner anyway. That night the kids made up a spa night for me, they rubbed my hands and feet and brushed my hair, I even had cucumbers on my eyes. It was a nice treat, they acually did relax me quite a bit. I had a good birthday, pretty quiet but I guess that's what happens as you get older. Until next time!

We had a good weekend, Friday my sister in law came over and we made sugar cookies and hung out most of the day. Brenna went to Lexi's birthday party that day and had fun. That evening we spent the night at my parents and the kids watched bedtime stories, it was a cute movie. Sat morning my other sister in law came over and we colored eggs and had a freezing Easter egg hunt. Sunday night we went to my parents for dinner. It was a nice time considering Nathan was gone, but it all turned out nice.

Update!

Well it has been a while since I last wrote. We are finally all well sort of. For the past week we have finally been healthy, 3 weeks before we all had some yucky stomack virus and of course I get it the worst. We thought things were good and then Friday night and sunday morning Brig threw up again, I don't think I can take being sick again. I am hoping it is just some weird tummy ache since the rest of us feel fine. We went to Thatcher last weekend and visited Nathan's brother and his wife and baby, went to a park there saw a good friend of mine and had a barbeque and visited Nathan's moms grave. It was an eventfull day and the kids were worn out by the time we got home. Emma had a science fair last week and Nathan helped her with her project, it turned out really nice. Nathan is going to Missoula this Wed so I will be husbandless unless next mon. He is really excited, he hasn't been back since we moved in 05. Not much else going on, trying to get ready for Easter, the girls got cute dresses and Jack got a new shirt with his 1st tie, he said now I can be like you daddy. Well until next time.

Today is Nathan 32nd birthday.He is such a wonderful husband, father and friend. I don't know where I would be without him . Disneyland party!

All the kindergarden classes at Brenna's school do a disneyland walk every year. They walk as many miles as it is to disneyland and then have a big party at the end. It is a big deal for the kids and quite an accomplishment I think. They have all sorts of games and disney themed activities. They each get a "I walked to Disneyland t-shirt". Emma did it also when she was in kindergarden.

Our sweet Jack turned 4 yesterday. We had a full day, went to the zoo first thing in the morning and met some friends there. The kids had a lot of fun, it is the perfect size for them, Emma ran ahead seeing the animals before we could all get there. Brig couldn't care less about them, I think it was hard for him to really see any animals. After that we went to Chucky Cheese (never again) for lunch, our friends were brave and went also. After lots of noise and the warmth of the place we headed home decorated Jacks cake, ate dinner, cleaned up the house and the party began. Jack got lots of batman stuff and enjoyed it all. Thanks to all those that made his birthday memorable.

So yesterday Jack was playing with his animals and I walked in and they were all on top of each other. I had to laugh and I asked Jack what the animals were doing and he said they are just resting. I love kids and the innocent things they do! I thought it was funny so I took a picture of it, then Jack said can you take a picture of me too.

Brenna had her 6th b-day yesterday. I can't believe my little peanut is already 6, boy does time fly. We had a little party in the morning with a couple friends. On there b-day's they get to pick what they what for dinner, so Brenna ordered Texas Roadhouse. We had a lot of people over so we called ahead a went and picked it up. Everything was good and Brenna was happy. After dinner she couldn't wait to open presents so that happened before cake. She got alot of nice things, and was happy all her family was there. Then we had chocolate bundt cake (thanks Tami) and cupcakes and vanilla ice cream. She is such a sweet tender hearted girl. She is always the first to thank someone and show her love. I love her so much and am thankful she is in our family.

Brig turns 1

So Saturday was Brigham 1st birthday. First we met up with Nathan's friend Tanner and his family at the temple, we hadn't seen him in about 10 years, then we went to phx for a get together with my family at a park there. We had a picnic and the kids played on the playground then we went over and rode the kiddie train. They had lots of fun with their counsins, it is so fun to see them all together. I got stung by a bee which wasn't very fun. That evening we checked into our hotel and thought we would go swimming but the water was a little cold so we stayed in the warm pool a little while. Later we met up with Garen and Risa, Nathan's high school buddy and went to Mary Coyles ice cream shop. I grew up going there and it sure was as yummy as I remember. Emma had a jolly green giant and Brenna and Jack had hot fudge sundays. Brig had some birthday bites of the sunday. Now onto Brig. I can't believe he is already 1, this year has flown by. He is such a joy in our lives and we are so glad he is here and makes us smile everyday, although we are not sure when he will walk, he takes a few steps and then starts crawling. Last night my parents, Nathan's dad and Jackie and Nathan's sister Emily and Jordan came over for cake, poor Brig he was so tired but seem to settle in when he got some cake. Of course the kids opened his presents for him, he didn't seem to mind. All in all it was a good birthday weekend. We love him too pieces!

Resolutions!

So why do I need to make new years resolutions? Well that is the only time I will acually do something that I have been neglecting. I always do well for a few weeks and then it's over. I really need to stick with it this year. Exercising that is always on my list and I acually did it this morning, we will see how that goes. Keeping a organized home, a little hard with 4 kids. There are a few more, hopefully this year I will stay focused and keep on track.

We had a wonderful Christmas. Christmas eve we had a mexican dinner here at our house. We had green chile burros, chicken enchiladas, bean burros and mexican rice and a apple pie for dessert, everything was yummy. We had a little Christmas program but the kids were playing around more than playing their part, but it was cute. Christmas morning we opened presents, we got a family tent and all the kids got their own sleeping bags also, so when we go camping as a family they each have one, they thought that was pretty cool. Then we headed to my parents and the kids all got new bikes, they were thrilled, later that day we headed to Nathan's dad's house for Christmas dinner and stayed there a while. I am always a little sad when Christmas is over, I love the Christmas season and can't wait until next year.

We have our tree up, but we had to put it on a table chest thing so Brig would not get to it. I finally wrapped some presents yesterday so the tree doesn't look so naked at the bottom. I love Christmas and how the kids get so excited about everything. We are going out this Mon to have everyone get a present for the name they picked, that should be interesting. I think I am almost done with presents thank goodness it always seems to take forever.

Weekend Review!

Well we had an eventfull Thanksgiving. My brother and his family came from Phx for the weekend and Nathan's sister and her family came also. The kids always love playing with their cousins, and were outside most of the weekend which was good because they can be quite loud. We went to Nathan's dads on Wed to celebrate a nephews b-day and then thursday I went and helped my mom cook and get everything ready for dinner. Nathan was at his dad's most of that day until it was about time to eat. Everything was yummy and my pies turned out great. I am officialy ready for Christmas, went shopping Friday morning, not early though and got most of the shopping done. That is always a relief once that is finished, I feel like I can enjoy everything else. We usually decorate on Nathan's mom's b-day as a rememberance of her, she loved Christmas so much but we will have to wait because he has ym's that night. The kids are excited for Christmas although I told them if they don't clean there room I am going to talk to Santa about no gifts, hopefully that will get them to clean there room. We finally got a new camera, I was having withdrawls, we had been without one too long. Until next time!

I love this time of year and getting together for Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. I love being in the kitchen helping my mom try to get everything ready on time while the food is still hot. I love lounging around and just visiting with family. I also love pies, I usually try to make a couple different kinds so we have a variety. I love eating leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner, it is such a comfort thing. I love watching my kids run around with their cousins without a care in the world. I love that I can decorate for Christmas a couple days later. I am so thankful for my family, friends and all those that have had a impact on my life. I think of many of you often that I don't get to see but always remember the friendships we share. I am thankful I can be with my family forever.

We went to our church's trunk or treat. We hit every car and I think the kids have enough candy to last the next year. Earlier in the day I went and helped at Brenna's class for their Halloween party. It was nice to go and help out, I made frosting to decorate cookies and pumpkin chocolate chip bread for Emma's class. I am done baking until Thanksgiving. All in all it was a good day, it seems so hectic but before you know if your done.

Brig is finally saying ma ma and it is so cute. He just says it over and over. Sometimes I wish they could stay this age forever. He is so happy to see everyone new and when the girls and Nathan come home he crawls over to the door and smiles from ear to ear. I love it, he is such a sweet happy boy and now that his 2 top teeth are finally coming in he is finally over the whinny teething, for a while anyway.

North Carolina!

Well the boys and I went to N.C last week . On the way out there Brig cried most of the flight off and on, was not fun. Jack did great and was a trooper, he looked so cute carrying his backpack and following me around the airport. I felt bad his backpack was pretty heavy, I asked him if he could run with it on and he said no. We missed our connecting flight so had to wait around for another hour for the next one. My aunt and uncle were there to pick us up. We mostly hung out at her house and did some shopping. It was hard for Brig to get adjusted to the 3 hour time change, so he was crabby and also teething. Jack had fun playing around the house. We went to the mall and he rode on the carousel which he loved. Nathan and the girls had a fun time without me and went out to dinner and to sonic for shakes and also to the cove to swim. Thankfully on the way home Brig slept most of the flight and the lady next to me held him a bit and didn't mind at all. I love going to visit my aunt and uncle they are such wonderful , giving people. When I got home there was a huge banner saying "we missed you" with a huge airplane and us in it, it was very cute. I am glad to be home.

So something funky is going on with my camera, it wont focus right, so needless to say I am cameraless for the time being. Brig has been doing the army wounded soilder crawl for a while and just yesterday started to crawl normal. He looks so cute doing it, I so want my camera to take a picture of him, hopefully we can figure it out soon. I am getting ready to go to N.C next week to visit my aunt. I am only taking Jack and Brig, I hope all goes well on the plane and that Brig will acually sleep a little. Jack is so excited to ride on the plane I think he will be fine. It will be a long day but I am looking forward to seeing my wonderful aunt.

Okay so acually the french doughnuts are a box mix, but I did still make them. They are from Cafe du Monde which is a wellknown french cafe in New Orleans. You can get the mix online at www.cafedumonde.com and it is called beignet mix. Sorry to dissapoint those that thought I did it from scratch, but they were still tasty. I have an obssession with the food channel and travel channel and these were shown on both and they looked so scrumptious. Anyway I will stop blabbering now.

So the other night I made beignets wich are a french doughnut. They kind of looked funny but they were sure tasty. The recipe said it made 24 and we ate every last one. We talked about talents and the kids said mine was baking, because the beignets were so good. I thought that was cute. They were sure messy but we had lots of fun eating them.

Yesterday I went with Brenna's kindergarden class to a apple orchard. On the way I remember why I don't like going on field trips, "the bus ride". It was awful. Anyway we rode a hayride to pick the apples and then had lunch, went to the bakery and got some apple butter. All in all it was a good day, nice to spend time with Brenna, she is my little peanut. I tried to take a few pictures of just Brenna or just Brenna and I and the little girl that was with us would not get out of any of them, so needless to say she is the one in the background and wouldn't let me take one of just Brenna, oh well maybe next time.

Early Annniversary!

So Nathan and I decided to go to Scottsdale for a early anniversary. We left Thursday morning and went to a temple session. It had been a while since we had gone together. After that we checked into our resort and relaxed for a while. We decided to go to Mexican for dinner since we don't have good Mexican food in S.V. We went to a place called Garduno's, yummy. It is still really hot in Scottsdale, so we took a dip in the pool for a while. We didn't have to worry about getting burned late at night either. The next morning we went to the pool and hung out for a while, it was already getting hot at 9am(yuck). Then I went to get a haircut at a place called Sachi, I have been there before and I really liked them, even though I can never get my hair to look like they did it afterwards. We went over to my favorite mall, Scottsdale Fashion Square and ate lunch and shopped a little ( I love that place). I have been dying to go to this cupcake place called Sprinkles, they were so good, now I can finally say I have gone. I contacted a few friends we hadn't seen in like 8 years and met up for dinner Fri. night at Macaroni Grill. It was nice to catch up with them and see how they are. They are such a fun couple. Then we went back to our room and hung out a while and went to sleep, it was nice to be able to sleep in for a couple days. On the way home we stopped by some friends to see their new baby. Sat. we got home at about 2 and picked up all our munchkins at the grandparents, thanks so much to all of them for helping us out and letting us enjoy our little getaway.

Okay so those of you that know me, know I hate exercising. Well I am finally getting up every morning and walking. My friend Alish and I meet and go together. I am so proud of myself. I hate to get up but I always feel better afterwards. Now I have to work on lifting my free weights so I can get toned on my arms. Those new shoes I bought months ago to walk in are finally getting some use. Hopefully I can keep it up. Thanks Alish for motivating me!

Not much has been going on lately besides the usual school, work and meetings with Nathan. Nathan has been fighting a cold and stayed home 2 days last week, that is a miracle in itself. He never stays home. The girls are enjoying school, Brenna acts as if she has been in school all along. I am glad they are doing well. I think Jack is getting used to Brenna being gone although every day they get on the bus he says , I miss the girls. It is pretty cute. I am getting my hair done tomorrow which it is desprately in need of, it has been a while. I seem to be finding more and more grays and I am not thrilled about it. This week should be good hopefully more exciting stuff to write about later.

Well today is the 1st day of school, I don't think I have seen Brenna so excited about something for a while. She was so ready to leave all morning. I took Emma and Brenna to school, Jack had to have his lunch bag also. As soon as we got to school Emma said see ya, she is a old pro now 3rd grade. She ran off. We stayed with Brenna until the bell rang and then all the parents followed behind the kindergarden classes until they reached the classrooms. She didn't cry at all, I am glad I was a little worried about her. I hope she has a fun day and meets lots of friends. Now to keep Jack busy until they get home. It is already so quiet in the house, not used to it but I like it.

Lots of family came in town on Saturday for Emma's baptism. It was so neat to have Nathan be able to do that. After the baptism we went back to my parents house and had my mom's yummy pulled pork sandwiches, great potato salad and a awsome cake. Emma had said she wanted a cake with flowers and butterflies that were in a meadow and Lisa did just that, it was beautiful. We had a good time just hanging around and eating. Emma opened some presents, and then we had cake. We were so glad to have alot of family able to come and support Emma. It was a special day.

My sweet Emma turned 8, yesterday. I can't believe how fast she has grown. It seems like yesterday when I was in labor for 17 hours with her. She is so driven and smart and is so determined to learn things on her own. I can't wait to see her grow and develop even more in the next few years. I am so thankful for her in my life. We went to teddy bear connection with a couple of her friends and then came home and made ice cream sundays. We went to mcds for dinner(yum just kidding) her choice and then went to cousin for another party. It was a fun day.

Well I met up with a few of my good friends from high school this past weekend. We try to get together once a year if we can. We went to the Az grand resort and had lots of relaxation. Jana and I got there first and were dying of heat stoke even though I grew up there I still can't believe how hot it is, so we took a quick dip in the pool before Jamie and Taya arrived. We chatted in the room a while and then decided to go to Carrabas for dinner. It was yummy but there was a huge cockroach crawling up the wall by my head needless to say I freaked a little, I despise cockroaches. We informed well I informed the waiter by screaming and we moved to a different table, they said they found it but I didn't believe them. We finished dinner and went for a night swim which was realaxing. Went to bed about midnight and woke up went to breakfast well brunch it was 11am and then headed home. It was a nice weekend and my sweetie was so good to take care of all the kids. I had fun and look forward to next year.

Well no pict of the party but the cake sure did turn out good it was so yummy. It will definately be a keeper.
